Most EXPENSIVE Lebron James Cards ($1.8 MILLION?!) + Why YOU Should Invest In Him QUICK!

So if you've been living under a rock or in some country without the internet you probably didn't hear about this, but most of you have LeBron James 2003 Upper Deck Exquisite Rookie Patch Autographed card, this was graded BGS 9.5, unlimited edition to 23, just sold for a record for a modern sports card at 1.8 million dollars! It sold at 1.5 and then they had a 20% buyer's premium on there so that's how you get to the 1.8 million dollar card. I mean jeez how many houses could you buy for that one? Absolutely incredible. The sports card market is just going absolutely nuts. You've heard me talk about this before, not just me, but Gary Vee and all these people. So obviously that one is kind of out of the budget for most of us, but what have been his best top five selling cards for average sales price over the last 30 days outside of this guy? We're not going to include this guy. These are all going to be from marketmovers.com. It's going to be from the last 30 days, which they pull all from just eBay sales. So you're looking at June 25th to July 24th of 2020. So that's where all this data is gonna come from. Before we jump into that data though, why should you be investing in LeBron James?

Well LeBron James is the Michael Jordan of this era. There's no doubt about it. He is the most popular athlete of our time. 70 million Instagram followers, huge international following, it seems like everything that he touches turns into gold. His cards are going up in value, his autographs are going on up in value, LeBron James cards are honestly probably one of the safest bets out there. I mean I see guys investing in like Bull Bull and all these other guys, which they may turn out to be great investments, they may make some good money on it, but LeBron James is kind of like a sure bet. I mean I don't know, I would be throwing all my chips into LeBron James. I've been picking up a bunch of his cards. I've got a bunch at PSA right now, so I mean he is a very good bet, no doubt about it. The guy has won the NBA championships, finals MVPs, league MVPs, I don't have to tell you who LeBron James is. You guys understand that. So again all this data is going to come from marketmovers.com. These are all from just PSA 10 graded cards, nothing raw, nothing else, only PSA 10 cards.

2003 Bowman Chrome Rookies and Stars: #123

So let's start off with number five, and this is the 2003 Bowman Chrome Rookies and Stars card number 123. Such an iconic image of LeBron holding the ball and just kind of staring back at you like, “I'm gonna dominate you.” LeBron's got such cool looking cards. I mean they must have done something special with him, like whoever gets to design these cards for him did a good job on that one. Definitely a hot card here. $5,469 average selling price in the last 30 days. 30 percent have been graded a PSA 10 so a pretty tough card. These chrome cards are always very difficult to grade but they are always highly sought after so if you can find one that has a nice PSA 10 and a good price, chances are you're going to make your money back on that one fairly easily.

2003 Topps Pristine Refractor: #101

Number four is going to be the 2003 Topps Pristine Refractor card number 101. Very unique looking card. Refractors are probably definitely a step up above chromes. Highly sought after, very difficult grades, usually this one's got a $5,790 average selling price. A strangely high PSA 10 rate though of 70 or 76 percent. It could be due to the card value that people are only sending in what they think are going to be gem mint cards, I don't know, but that just seems really high. Only four have sold in the last 30 days though so not a very easy card to find.

2003 Fleer E-X: #102

Number three on this list is going to be the 2003 Fleer E-X card number 102. This was a one-off so only one had sold in the last 30 days on eBay, but it sold for $10,426 dollars. Only 31 PSA 10s are in existence and this one's got a 21% grade rate of a 10. So very difficult grade. You can see why with these black borders, any chipping on the edging or any white corner is just going to be easily seen so I can understand why this one is a very tough grade.

2003 Topps Chrome: #111

Number two on this list is a 2003 Topps Chrome card number 111. One of my favorites and you'll see why here in just a second. Just such a cool image of LeBron shooting. The chrome cards, again, I've talked about that they are always the way to go. Very tough grades though. Usually this one's got a 41% PSA 10 rate. Average selling price in the last 30 days $12,463. That's like a Hyundai. I mean just incredible. 43 of them sold so they're decently available so if you can get some cash pick this up and here's why. LeBron James cards, and this card in particular, are so important right now. We have not been in a sports era where basketball cards have been this popular and selling for this high of a price and if LeBron James wins an NBA title, just imagine what his cards are going to be worth. Same thing with Giannis or any of these other guys. LeBron is a safe bet but if he wins the NBA title these cards are going to double or triple, it's just going to be insane because we have not been through an NBA championship yet the way the card market is right now. Of course winning an NBA title is the thing that sets everything off, so just something to think about. If LeBron wins that title, man, make sure you've got some of his cards in your arsenal.

2003 Topps Chrome Refractor: #111

So let's move on here to the number one average selling price on eBay, the highest card. This is the number one. It's another one off though. This one is the 2003 Topps Chrome Refractor card. This is a big boy card. Sold for basically what your house you grew up in was worth; $46,500. One did sell in June prior to this for $42,000 so we do have at least two to go off of. This one only 167 PSA 10s are in existence and a PSA 10 rate of 33%. Man, whoever owns this card, please hold on to that thing for 10 years. I want to see if that thing can get up to $200,000 or $300,000. It's just gonna be incredible.

So again those are the top five average selling prices of LeBron James cards on eBay, and data was taken from marketmovers.com. Be sure and check out their software program, they've got some really cool stuff on there. Easy to pull data on pretty much tons of cards, hundreds of cards.
