Amazing Grace is one of the most famous Christian hymns ever written, and Alan Jackson recorded a very well-known country/gospel version of it in his 2006 Precious Memories Album. Jackson's version stays very true to the traditional hymn and is calm, reverent, and focused on the message rather than elaborate production. Jackson's traditional country voice gives the hymn a heartfelt, authentic feel. The album became one of the best-selling gospel albums by a country artist.
