World Series MVP Autographed Baseballs - Who is Most Valuable? 2018 Top 10 List

World Series MVP autographed baseballs are one of the most sought after sports memorabilia for collectors.  Being the World Series MVP of your favorite MLB team cements that player forever in the history of the franchise.  Autographed baseballs of that player are MUST haves for collectors of that team.

For the purposes of this article, let's look at the Top 10 most valuable World Series MVP autographed baseballs.  Looking at just autographed baseballs, not World Series baseballs as some of the World Series MVP's didn't have World Series logo balls made when they played in the game.  Also, baseballs without inscriptions such as WS MVP.

Baseballs must be authenticated by JSA, PSA, Beckett or 1st party company who directly conducted the signing with the athlete.

#10 - Madison Bumgarner

San Francisco Giants star pitcher and 3 x World Series champion.  Bumgarner is a proven Post Season pitcher and 2014 World Series MVP.  His autographed baseball starts at $179.

#9 - Mariano Rivera

Popular New York Yankees closer.  This guy was THE postseason pitcher.  He pitched 141 post season innings with a .70 ERA!  That's right .70.  Autographed baseballs start at $199.

#8 - Ben Zobrist

This man will forever be a star in Chicago.  Winning the 2016 World Series MVP to help the Chicago Cubs win their 1st World Series title in about a thousand years will do that.  Pretty sure he doesn't ever have to pay for a meal in that town again.

#7 - Randy Johnson 

One of the game's best pitchers.  Randy Johnson has the 2nd most strikeouts ever, Hall of Famer, and 2001 World Series co-MVP with Curt Schilling.  Nicknamed the "Big Unit," Randy was as imposing of a pitcher as anyone, standing 6'10" tall.

2013 World SeriesMVP David Ortiz because a Boston Red Sox legend by winning 3 World Series titles for a team that didn't see even one for almost a hundred years.

 #4 - Darrell Porter (deceased)

I know some of you are like, who is Darrell Porter?  Porter was MVP of the 1982 World Seriesfor the St. Louis Cardinals, including NLCS MVP in the same year.  A 4 x All-Star selection as well.  He died at the young age of 50 in 2002, thus autographs from him are tough to come by.  

In March of 2018, the cheapest I have seen for him is $319.

#3 - Sandy Koufax

Arguably one of baseball's most popular and iconic pitchers.  Koufax was a 4 x World Series champion, winning World Series MVP in 1963 and 1965.  A Hall of Famer and 3 x CY Young award winner.  He threw 4 no-hitters and somehow only received about 87% of his Hall of Fame vote.

#2 - Derek Jeter

New York Yankees legend and team captain.  Jeter won 5 World Series titles including the 2000 MVP.  Too many stats to list here, but Jeter will be in the Hall of Fame soon.  One of baseball's most iconic players.

 #1 - Roberto Clemente (deceased)

Clemente is one of those baseball players that everyone just smiles when they hear his name.  A 15 x All-Star, he was the 1971 World Series MVP for the Pittsburgh Pirates.   His career ended exactly at 3,000 hits and he was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973.  

Besides baseball, he was best known for his charity work.  He died in a plane crash in 1972 on his way to Nicaragua to deliver aid to earthquake victims.

Due to his death at such a young age, autographs are rare.  Quality autographs such as single signed baseballs even more rare.  Tough to price him due to lack of items available.
