Aaron Rodgers ; Un bref historique de sa carrière après avoir signé avec les Jets de New York
Aaron Rodgers est un nom synonyme d'excellence dans le monde du football américain. Il est largement considéré comme l’un des plus grands quarts-arrières à avoir jamais joué à ce jeu, et sa carrière est tout simplement remarquable. Le parcours de Rodgers jusqu'au sommet de la NFL a été long et difficile, mais son travail acharné, son talent et son dévouement ont porté leurs fruits.
Rodgers est né à Chico, en Californie, en 1983 et a grandi dans une famille d'athlètes. Son père, Ed Rodgers, était footballeur à l'université et ses deux frères jouaient également au football. Rodgers a montré très tôt un intérêt pour le sport et a commencé à jouer au football dès son plus jeune âge. Il a fréquenté le lycée Pleasant Valley à Chico, où il était un joueur de football remarquable, menant son équipe à une fiche de 13-0 et à un championnat d'État au cours de sa dernière année.
Après le lycée, Rodgers a fréquenté le Butte College, un collège communautaire d'Oroville, en Californie. Il y a joué au football pendant deux ans avant d'être transféré à l'Université de Californie à Berkeley, où il a joué pour les Golden Bears de Californie. Au cours de son année junior, Rodgers a mené les Golden Bears à une fiche de 10-2 et à une victoire au Holiday Bowl, ce qui lui a valu le prix MVP. Rodgers a été sélectionné par les Packers de Green Bay au premier tour du repêchage, 24e au total. Il a remporté deux prix MVP de la NFL et, en 2020, il a mené la ligue en termes de passes de touché, de pourcentage d'achèvement et de note de passeur, ce qui lui a valu son troisième prix MVP. Les statistiques de carrière de Rodgers sont impressionnantes : plus de 51 000 verges par la passe, 412 passes de touché et une note de passeur de 103,9.
Mais la carrière de Rodgers ne se limite pas à ses statistiques individuelles et à ses distinctions. Il a également été un leader sur et en dehors du terrain. Il est connu pour son éthique de travail, son dévouement envers ses coéquipiers et son engagement envers les causes de justice sociale. Il a utilisé sa plateforme en tant qu'athlète professionnel pour s'exprimer sur des questions telles que l'inégalité raciale et la brutalité policière, et il a fait don de millions de dollars à des œuvres caritatives.
La carrière de Rodgers n’a cependant pas été sans défis. Il a parfois fait face à des critiques et à des controverses, y compris une querelle très médiatisée avec l'ancien entraîneur-chef des Packers, Mike McCarthy. Mais malgré tout cela, Rodgers est resté concentré sur ses objectifs et a continué à performer au niveau élite.
Alors que Rodgers entame sa 18e saison dans la NFL, il ne montre aucun signe de ralentissement. Il est toujours largement considéré comme l'un des meilleurs quarts-arrière de la ligue et il a pour objectif de remporter un autre Super Bowl avec les Packers. Quel que soit l’avenir de Rodgers, sa carrière en est déjà une pour les âges.
Après avoir récemment été échangé aux Jets de New York, il cherche à ramener cette équipe en séries éliminatoires.
