LeBron James : une légende du basket
LeBron James, né le 30 décembre 1984 à Akron dans l'Ohio, est un basketteur professionnel qui joue actuellement pour les Lakers de Los Angeles de la National Basketball Association (NBA). Il est considéré comme l’un des plus grands basketteurs de tous les temps, ayant remporté de nombreux prix et distinctions tout au long de sa carrière. Le 7/02/23, James est devenu le meilleur buteur de tous les temps de la NBA, surpassant Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
James était un espoir très vanté dès son plus jeune âge et a été surnommé "L'élu" par Sports Illustrated alors qu'il n'était qu'un étudiant en deuxième année du lycée. Il a été à la hauteur du battage médiatique, menant St. Vincent-St. Mary High School à Akron à trois championnats d'État et à remporter des distinctions telles que Parade All-American et Gatorade National Player of the Year.
Après son succès au lycée, James a été sélectionné au premier rang du repêchage de la NBA en 2003 par les Cleveland Cavaliers. Au cours de sa saison recrue, il est devenu le plus jeune joueur de l'histoire de la ligue à marquer plus de 30 points dans un match et a remporté le prix NBA Rookie of the Year. Au cours des années suivantes, James s'est imposé comme l'un des meilleurs joueurs de la ligue, menant les Cavaliers à leur toute première participation à la finale de la NBA en 2007.
En 2010, James a fait un transfert très médiatisé vers le Miami Heat, où il a fait équipe avec ses collègues All-Stars Dwyane Wade et Chris Bosh. Avec James comme leader, le Heat a effectué quatre voyages consécutifs en finale de la NBA, remportant des championnats consécutifs en 2012 et 2013.
En 2014, James est retourné à Cleveland, où il a mené les Cavaliers à leur tout premier championnat NBA en 2016. Il est devenu le premier joueur de l'histoire de la NBA à mener les deux équipes en points, rebonds, passes décisives, interceptions et blocages en finale. et a été nommé MVP des finales NBA.
Après quatre saisons à Cleveland, James a signé avec les Lakers de Los Angeles en 2018. Lors de sa première saison avec les Lakers, James a mené l'équipe au championnat NBA, remportant son quatrième prix MVP de la finale. Depuis, il continue à performer à un haut niveau et s’impose comme l’un des meilleurs joueurs de la ligue.
Tout au long de sa carrière, James a remporté de nombreux prix et distinctions, dont quatre championnats NBA, quatre prix MVP, deux médailles d'or olympiques et deux prix MVP du All-Star Game. Il est largement considéré comme l’un des meilleurs basketteurs de tous les temps, et son impact sur le jeu se fera sentir dans les années à venir.
