Willie Mays est un joueur de baseball emblématique. Je n'ai pas besoin de vous le dire. Mais passons en revue quelques statistiques rapides.
24 x All-Star, 12 x vainqueur du Gold Glove, 2 NL MVP, 1979 Hall of Fame et un champion des World Series.
Sans oublier qu’il a réussi 660 circuits.
Au moment d’écrire ces lignes, Mays a 89 ans et a bien sûr cessé de signer des autographes. Il reste très peu d’autographes authentiques.
Nous savons donc que Mays est un grand joueur et un autographe qui doit figurer dans notre collection.
Qu'est-ce qu'on signe ?
Tout d’abord, parlons d’authentification. L'authenticité lorsqu'il s'agit d'autographes est primordiale.
Lorsque vous achetez votre autographe Willie Mays, vous remarquerez peut-être des articles qui portent cet hologramme « SAY HEY ». 
Cela semble légitime, n'est-ce pas ? C'est l'hologramme d'authenticité personnelle de Willie Mays. Il faut que ce soit réel !
Ralentissez là. Beaucoup de ces hologrammes ont été copiés et les autographes ne sont pas réels à mon avis. Qui vend une photo authentique signée Willie Mays pour 50 $ ? Cela devrait être votre grand signal d’alarme ici.
Faites-vous une faveur et évitez les autographes avec l'hologramme Say Hey.
Ma suggestion est d'acheter des articles sans l'hologramme Say Hey (pas avec, mais sans), qui sont authentifiés par JSA, PSA/DNA ou Beckett Authentication (BAS), de préférence récemment.
Une autre chose à noter, mais l'autographe de style Mays qui a une tonne de « flair ». Cela signifie qu'il n'est pas court et de style bloc comme ces articles holographiques Mays Say Hey. Doit avoir un joli grand W et un grand M avec beaucoup de mouvement et aucune cohérence.
Maintenant que nous avons réglé ce problème, que devriez-vous prendre ?
Tenez-vous-en aux balles de baseball dédicacées. Il s’agit de l’article le plus populaire parmi les collectionneurs de baseball, il a tendance à être plutôt bon marché et ne prend pas beaucoup de place. Très facile à afficher.
La photo "The Catch" est probablement l'élément le plus populaire à signer par Mays, mais 99 % d'entre elles portent cet hologramme Say Hey. La dernière fois que j'ai vérifié, l'un d'entre eux avait un prix demandé de 400 $.
Ne dormez pas non plus sur les autres photos de haute qualité de Mays. Des images emblématiques de Mickey Mantle et d'autres joueurs du Temple de la renommée sont disponibles.
Les chauves-souris et les maillots sont également très recherchés, mais leur prix est élevé (1 500 $ + pour les maillots). Si vous achetez un maillot, assurez-vous qu’il s’agit d’un maillot sous licence officielle. Inutile d'offrir à l'un des meilleurs joueurs de baseball un maillot personnalisé bon marché.

Mr. Powers delivered on my request for this Cal Ripken jr. autograph. It was a nice size clean and perfect signature better than I expected.
