Why YOU Should Be Buying Soccer Cards NOW! A Step by Step Guide 2020

Soccer cards are blowing up!  You need to get into this action TODAY to maximize your profits and collecting opportunities.   I am going to show you a step by step process to start investing in soccer cards, even if you know nothing about soccer.

Soccer cards have generally flown under the radar.  Baseball and basketball cards have taken the cake for a long time.  However, starting in 2020 that has all changed.

Below you will learn #1, why you should be investing in soccer cards, #2 how to pick out the players to buy, #3 what cards to buy and #4 where to buy those cards.  Lastly, I will give you some tips on how to sell those cards and maximize your profits should you choose to sell them.

Let me start off by saying I am not a soccer expert by any stretch of the imagination.   I’m an American, I follow the big 4 sports mainly.  However, I have started expanding into soccer cards the last few months and am eager to share with you what I have learned.

#1 Why soccer cards?

In case you have missed it, soccer cards are the new hot thing and it makes total sense.  Soccer is the most popular game in the world with some of the biggest stars.  Cristiano Ronaldo has over 236 million Instagram followers.  Let's compare that to another big star, LeBron James, LeBron has 70 million.  Ronaldo has 3 x the amount he does.  Also, soccer has one of the biggest sporting events ever 4 years, the World Cup.

Prices have been going through the roof lately.  Take for example the Kylian Mbappe 2018 Prizm card graded PSA 10.  Over the last 90 days it has gone from $700 to $245!.  Probably more expensive by the time you see this article.  Incredible explosion.  Where else you going to see returns like that?  Of course, not every card has seen those sort of returns, but many from the 2014 and 2018 Prizm sets have due to those being World Cup years.

#2 How to pick out the best players.

If you don’t know soccer, this can be the toughest part.  So let’s assume you are like me and know very little about soccer.  How would you know who the best players are?  Google search would be helpful.  Also, seeing how many Instagram followers each player has.  Checking most popular cards sold on eBay would probably be the best thing you can do since we are talking about cards.  YouTube videos on soccer are another great tool.  Most people are familiar with the Kylian Mbappe, Pele, Neymar Jr, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lionel Messi’s of the soccer world.  But there are tons of other solid players to pick up out there.

#3 How to pick out best cards.

Now that you know the players you want to invest in, how do you get the right cards?  Soccer is very similar to the other sports in that Panini Prizm and Select are 2 of the top brands to get.  Topps Chrome is another solid brand.  When in doubt, any Prizm card is usually a safe bet.

#4 Where to buy the cards?

eBay is of course the 1st place that comes to mind.  Also, see comc.com (check out my cards).  They have a ton of options on there for good prices.  Facebook soccer card groups are another great option.  Myslabs.com and also stockx.com are other great choices for graded cards.

#5 How to sell your cards?

Now that you have received your soccer cards.  What do you do with them?  Check out my video I made a while back on investing strategies with sports cards.  That would be a good piece to watch.

Essentially you have 2 options.  Sell the cards as ungraded or get them graded by PSA or Beckett.  I personally would choose PSA.  Their graded PSA 10 cards tend to hold the most value and will give you the biggest return on your investment into raw cards.

To sell them, eBay is always the best option.  Comc.com is another good one.  Also, check out myslabs.com.  Only a 1% sellers fee.  I have had some good success there.

Hey! I have a quick question about COMC.com is I am looking to buy cards (mostly soccer) and but I do plan to sell them, and I wonder if COMC can hold my cards until I sell them, I really am not interested in getting the cards except for a handful. But mostly I want to have them stay at COMC. Is that possible, which other option allows for this feature!
