2016 was a great year for sports memorabilia baseball autographs.  We saw the rise of Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo, plus the massive sales of the Cubs World Series win and David Ortiz due to his retirement.  2017 sets up to be a great year with the Chicago Cubs coming off that World Series title (can’t believe I am still saying that).

So you are a brand new sports memorabilia agent and thinking about doing an autograph signing with your newest client.  What do you need to do?  What are some things you should be thinking about?

Every time I do an autograph signing I usually offer the chance for customers to have the athlete write a special inscription on their item. What do you get?
