Review of Nike Game Football Jersey - Good for Autographs?

The Game jersey is a screen printed name and number football jersey made by Nike.

When we hear screen printed, most collectors shy away.  Opting for the sewn on jerseys which replicate what the athletes wear and generally holds a better autograph.

But is that the case for the Nike Game jersey?  Why would someone get this jersey signed?  What are the positives and negatives of this jersey?

Affordability.  At $99 retail, it is the cheapest option Nike makes for an officially licensed jersey.

Accessibility.  Most players (if they have a jersey available at retail), are going to have a Game jersey available.  They are cheaper to make and thus more are kept in stock.

Officially licensed.  The quality you are going to get with an officially licensed jersey is always going to be WAY better than any other option.

Autograph quality.  Surprisingly, they hold autographs well.  I haven't seen any issues yet of any fading or bleeding.

No sewn on name and numbers.  Most collectors prefer something like this because it has a reputation of holding a better autograph.  The tackle twill material is perfect for autographs.

Authentication.  I did have one issue with Beckett authentication stickers not wanting to stick to the screen printed material.  Could have just been a one off situation.  Haven't seen the issue with JSA or PSA DNA stickers.

So is this jersey good for autographs?

Absolutely!  I love the price point of this jersey and the accessibility.  Holds autograph well.  Plus, it is officially licensed!
