MICHAEL JORDAN Cards Going up in Value! | Card Collecting in 2020

So with the last dance documentary over now, and I'm sure you've probably seen it (I haven't seen it yet because my kids make me watch all these kids movies and stuff so I haven't had a chance to get to it on Netflix, at some point I promise I will). It of course was a famous documentary. Everybody seemed to really enjoy it. During this time Michael Jordan's cards were going up, up, and up. Lots of new cards were hitting the market, people that were just holding on were starting to sell them, so there was a ton of new cards on the market and it got very confusing for a lot of people. What do I buy? What's going to be going up in value? It just got really confusing for people. I know because it was gonna get confusing for me too.

So today I'm gonna be giving you five cards, plus a bonus one at the end so I guess technically six, that have been going up in value over the last 30 days. One of them has actually gone up $4,100 in 30 days. $4,100 in 30 days, that's what some people make in a month. I mean my gosh, this is absolutely incredible. So all the data today is going to be coming from the software program Market Movers which you can find on sportscardinvestor.com. I think it costs $49 a month. You get to be able to pull a whole bunch of data on cards and decide whether you want to invest or not invest in cards and they pull all of their data of course from eBay, and all this data is going to be from the month of august 2020. So without further ado, let's go ahead and jump into this list.

#5: Michael Jordan 1993 Stadium Club Basketball – Beam Team

Number five on this list is the Michael Jordan 1993 Stadium Club Basketball - The Beam Team. This is a raw card. This one is so cool, I love this card. It’s card number four.  It’s just very sleek, it’s a great pick of him dunking. If you've heard me talk about this with cards, the image on the card is very important. Obviously right, but you gotta pick something that a player is known for. Michael Jordan, think of dunks. Just a great one to be to pick up here. This one is being sold ungraded. Now keep in mind with this particular card, this one is very tough to get a PSA 10 on. It's got a black border around there which we know is going to show all the white imperfections with chipping on the edges, it’s easy to see imperfections on this one. Tens are very tough to come by. Only 21 out of 409 have been graded a PSA 10. So my advice to you would be looking for a PSA 9.

I picked up one today at $175, that's not a bad price considering the raw price of these cards right now is $81. This card, the last 30 days has gone up 14.9% with 31 sales, and like I said ending price of $81 ungraded. So very cool card, definitely one you should want to pick up. The bean team stuff is always very popular, very cool card.

#4: Michael Jordan 1986 Fleer Sticker

Number four here is the Michael Jordan 1986 Fleer sticker. This is the one from the iconic set. This is a PSA 8, card number 8, and of course the sticker from the famous 1986 Fleer set. We all know about the 1986 Michael Jordan Fleer card number 57. Stickers can be tough to grade mainly because of where they were put in the packs. They're put on the bottom or the top depending on how you opened it so those are the ones that kind of get the brunt of the damages I guess you could say. So always a tough grade, but these stickers are important because of the importance of the 1986 card number 57. So really any sticker from this set is going to be very valuable but of course Jordan being the most popular one. This one has been graded a PSA 8, it's had an 18.2% increase in the last 30 days with 42 sales. An ending price of #1,340 so not too bad of a price there.

#3: Michael Jordan 1986 Fleer #57 – PSA 8

Number three is going to be the Michael Jordan 1986 Fleer card. So not the sticker, but the actual Fleer card. Also in a PSA 8, this is card number 57, and this is the Jordan rookie to get. We've all seen this card. We all know about this card. I don't need to introduce the card to you. If you want to go back and watch the video on the PSA 1 that I bought, yes I bought a PSA 1, and I've actually sold that card recently, but if you're looking to get into a Jordan rookie card go back and watch that video, and it kind of walks through the steps in my thought process on how to eventually work your way up to this card. Because most of us just can't jump directly into this one. Again, nothing else to say about this card.

This is the card to get. Everyone wants it. 24.8% increase with 46 sales and a current price of $6,300. Whoa, big time card.

#2: Michael Jordan 1993 Fleer Ultra – The Scoring Kings

Number two on this list is a very cool insert. I love inserts. Base cards are great, don't get me wrong, but if you can find a really cool insert that you like, they can be very valuable, and this one is the Jordan 1993 Fleer Ultra - the Scoring Kings card. This is graded a PSA 8, card number 5. Just an iconic card. I love this one but it’s tough to find and tough to grade. Only 96 of the 752 graded have been a PSA 10 so that's 12.7%. Again, it's got the black borders on there so it’s easy to see imperfections, but just a great image of Jordan shooting. I mean Jordan is known for scoring. Buy images of what players are doing or what they're known for. Like Shaquille O'Neal. Buying him dunking, those are great ones. 26.7% increase, 15 sales, and an ending sales price of $570. So a very affordable card. Again, PSA 8, gonna be a tough grade. I think these ones are gonna be going up in value. I love these inserts of Jordan and think they are cool because most people can't really afford the rookie cards, so they're looking to get other cards that they like and inserts are the way to go in my opinion.

#1: Michael Jordan 1986 Fleer #57 – PSA 9

Finally, the number one card going up in value over the last 30 days for Michael Jordan is a card we've talked about already. The 1986 Fleer, but this is graded PSA 9 and this one has had a 32.3% increase. This is card number 57, 20 sales, and an ending current price of $17,100. Wow. That thing is almost triple the PSA 8 price. It's gone up $4,100 in the last 30 days, just absolutely incredible. Yeah, it's just amazing time we're in with these cards.

BONUS!

Now let's move on to our bonus card, and this is another one that's got an iconic image that has been going up in value, and one you should definitely consider adding to your collection. This is the 1990 Fleer Basketball Base. This is a PSA 10 card, so a very cool card. Card number 26, just a great image of Jordan dunking. I've already talked about that, and this one is going up in value at 12.5% increase, 72 sales, and a current price of $201. So a great image of Jordan dunking and about $200. Most of us can afford that and it's a PSA 10. That seems to me like a no-brainer. Great card to pick up here and one that I definitely think you should be adding into your collection.

So hopefully this helps you guys with the Jordan cards. I know it can be overwhelming at times, so remember don't buy anything that you don't understand and that you don't like. Buy stuff that you like, I think that's so important when collecting, but it's also so important for investing too because if you like a card chances are there's going to be a lot of other people that like that card too, and always buy iconic images. I think those are very important especially when it comes to big time players like Michael Jordan.
